-AGM shall be held in the auditorium

- SCASS storage facility is possibly lost- Angela will speak to Grant about this

- SCASS office must be cleaned

-Boxes may be sent to help with storage

-It may take 6 weeks- 2 months for audit to be processed by Fiona

- There is a new student gallery on level 1 of the manning building

-Cash 4 Art close date is the 24th of april

- Short film competition deadline is the 1st of may- theme is water

-Film making workshops at manning building will be held

-We will apporach studio chairs to encourage students to apply for competitions such as cash4 art ect.

-At next meeting with the dean, we shall arrange this

-T-Shirt competition has online voting, prize is $1000

-PALM awards are in 2nd semester

-Online ACCESS registration may make signing up easier for SCA students

-Student gifts for BBQ’s

-The Bull is being delivered to Marie every week, maybe it should be delivered to Nerida?

-Look into getting a news stand

- AGM re-registration material due on the 30th of April

-Positions up for election at AGM: President, vice president, Minister of propaganda, art school ball directos, year reps.

-SCASS party at dedspace proposed

- SCASS shirts should be purchaserd. Also a marquee, repairs to existing equipment and any new purchases needed.

- The SASCA store room was emptied, we are not sure why.

- We must make sure dedspace and other student spaces are still in our possesion

ELECTIONS

-Matt Yeldam is nominated and unanimously elected as Treasurer. Danny Kennedy steps down.

 

- Adam Vranhed will remain as Ded-Space Director until April 2009.

 

- Luke Calarco is nominated and elected as unanimously Secretary. Adam Adelpour steps down.

 

- Georgia Banks is nomainated and elected as SCAR editor.

 

-Georgia Banks and Meghan O’Shea are nomitated and unanimously elected as Abbotoire Gallery Dirctors. Luke Calarco steps down.

-There will be no performance at Jack McGrath’s film night on September 24th 2008. Sam henning will take care of advertising. It starts at 6.00 and there will be free booze for access members.

 

- Danny Kennedy talked about some event guidlines:

USU logo must be on any advertising, Danny requires a copy of any publicity, attendance lists are compolsary, print out of facebook pages, give Danny all recipts and the licence No. of the pub or venue.

 

-3 Weeds Prize work is all hung, the flyers are printed and so are the voting sheets.

- Betty from the Cafe is upset about the mess made when the Abbotoire is being painted.

-Danny Kennedy has purchased all the food for the BBQ exept bread. The BBQ will be free for Access members.

 

-Danny Kennedy’s opening was well attended and went smashingly. One point was that the Ded-Space galery needs lighting.

 

 

3.General Business

 

- SCASS will buy a marquee for rain cover at events.

 

- Danny Kennedy met the Verge conveners regarding the Verge Day at SCA. Lisa Farrell will be e-mailed regarding the jumping castle for the day. The castle will be paid for by SCASS.

 

- Jason Gantry is meeting with the Three Weeds Managers about potential USU benefits with Kat Kleu.

-Planned Jewellery opening in Ded-Space on Wednesday 15th wend ahead and was successful.

 

- Annika Harrison reports there has been no contact with National Art School regarding the Art School Ball.

 

- Peter Dixon will be having a show in Ded-Space on Wednesday 22nd October 2008 opening at 5pm.

 

-Alex Houseman is coming to SCA on Monday 20th October for a meeting.

 

-Chris Lapa reports that we can post our work on the new SCASS website and they will be displayed as part of a rotating banner.

 

3.General Business

 

- SCASS will purchase a mid-range DVD player for around $100 to be used for shows in the galleries etc.

-On Wednesday 8th was the USU C&S Awards. SCASS received the highly commended encouragemant award and the Best Satellite Campus Award.

 

-People have begun to submit wirk for the Fresh Meat show in the Abbotoire.

 

-There is a meeting with the Dean Colin Rhodes Wednesday 8th Oct @ 1pm.

 

-SCA students did an exchange exhibition in Melbourne.

 

-The SCASS website is almost finished. There is a website meeting 1pm Monday 6th October.

 

-5th November is the Art School Ball @ Q-Bar. There will be up to six bands playing.

 

-Pete Dixon has a show at Ded-space on Wednesday 22nd October.

 

-SCASS 1st B’Day shows on 29th October.

 

3.General Business

-Ded-Space needs lighs and Javril may be having a show on Tuesday 14th October.

 

-A guy wants to borrow speakers for post-grad show. If he does’nt have Access he has to pay.

 

-Danny will talk to Angela from USU about paying an SCA student for regular BBQ DJ.

 

-SCASS has around $6000 to spend before next April.

 

-All exec positions will be open for the General Meeting 22nd October.

  • Ded Space has ripped up the carpet and needs to store four big panels of MDF.

  • Jack McGrath was happy with the film night he organized, he made $180.

  • There is a couple more silver spoon shows this year.

 

 

 

3.General Business

- Peter Dixon wants us to be strict about Access cards so as not to get ripped off by non-holders at events.

  • We have two more ‘Major Events’ left. One will be usd for the Art School Ball 28th November and the other for SCASS B’Day Exhibition in all the Galleries on the 29th October.

  • We will have a General Meeting on the 22nd October to elect new exec to replace leaving members.

  • We will rent our PA system and mike stand to the Fauvett and Harold Tribe for $100.

  • We will write up all borrowed items on the whiteboard.

  • Next meeting 10th October.

  • The most recent Ded Space opening went well.

  • Agar Dish was well attended and drinks were provided to Access members by SCASS courtosy of Jack McGrath’s organization.

  • Maryke McGrath donated some alcohol to the film night.

  • The next Abbotoire opening is in early October. It is titled ‘Fresh Meat’ and is a strictly first year exhibit. Their e-mail is theabbotoirehgallery@hotmail.com.

  • The film night is on the 26th September 2008. Volounteers are needed.

  • SCASS will accept a donation of cathode ray tube TV’s.

 

 

3.General Business

  • Josh Boerma and Sarah Newall have taken on the directorship of the SCASS Art Prize.

  • Voting on Amendments: 10.2 voted in unanimously, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 voted in unanimously, 12.1, 12.2 voted in unanimously, 13.1 voted in unanimously, 14.1 voted in unanimously.
